The most recent example of blockchain being hacked was June 7th, when the FBI claimed to have hacked the account of a hacker group called Darkside.

Did they really hack Darkside’s account or did someone simply hack up information while being interrogated?

You never know with these things.

Answer

It is said that quantum computers will be able to hack the blockchain in about 10 years but I would imagine it could be a shorter period than that. Of course, as resourceful humans, we are brainstorming ways to combat blockchain hacking via a company called quantum-resistant ledger.

Quantum-resistant ledger or QRL makes a claim in the introduction of their white paper which states the same public-key cryptography otherwise known as elliptic curve public-key cryptography to give users the digital signature that securely verifies them, is vulnerable to quantum computers.
